Elsa Gullberg

The Swedish Elsa Gullberg (1886-1984) was renowned as a textile designer, interior decorator, and accomplished entrepreneur. Her impact on society through the creation of "beautiful everyday items" and by building connections between artists and manufacturers was considerable. She contributed to many important works of design, such as the cinema 'Skaniabiograf', by Gunnar Asplund; the Stockholm Concert Hall and the Tändstickspalats, both by Ivar Tengbom. Her works are represented in the collections of, among others, the National Museum, Stockholm.
