Terms and conditions of sale
These terms apply to sales by Jackson Design AB, organisation number 556475-9131, Frihamnsgatan 50, 115 56 Stockholm, Sweden. Together with the order confirmation, they form the contract between us. Mandatory Swedish consumer law continues to apply to consumer purchases.
1. The contract
The contract is formed when you accept our offer in writing. These terms, the order confirmation and any invoice notes govern the sale; a specific written agreement for an order takes precedence.
2. Condition
Pieces are vintage and sold in their described condition. Wear, patina, marks, old repairs, material movement and variations associated with age are not faults unless the description says otherwise. Pieces described as requiring restoration, re-upholstery or rewiring are not ready for use until that work is completed.
3. Attribution and title
Designer, maker, model, date and provenance are stated in good faith and reflect current research. “Attributed to” expresses probability; “in the style of” or “in the manner of” does not claim authorship. Jackson Design AB is entitled to sell every offered piece free of third-party claims.
4. Electrical pieces
Electrical and mechanical goods are sold for their artistic and decorative value. A qualified electrician must inspect and approve an electrical system before use.
5. Price and tax
Prices exclude delivery, packing, storage, insurance, customs duty and import taxes unless stated. Many pieces are sold under Sweden’s margin scheme for second-hand goods and antiques; VAT is then not shown separately and cannot be reclaimed. Any applicable resale royalty is disclosed before purchase.
6. Payment and ownership
Payment is due within ten working days in the invoice currency. Ownership passes only after cleared payment in full. Bank details never change by email; verify any purported change by calling +46 70 545 45 41.
7. Delivery and risk
Delivery is excluded unless stated. Where Jacksons assists with transport, independent carriers’ terms apply without limiting mandatory consumer rights. Report transit damage with photographs within 48 hours where possible. Collection-only pieces must be collected by you or a carrier you appoint.
8. Collection and storage
Purchased pieces are stored free for 14 days. Uncollected consumer goods are handled under applicable Swedish law; separate resale provisions apply to trade buyers.
9. Export, customs and permits
For international delivery, the buyer is the importer and is responsible for destination duties, taxes, clearance and related charges. Dispatch is conditional on any required CITES or cultural-property permit being granted.
10. If something is wrong
Contact info@jacksons.se promptly with photographs and keep the packing. Consumers retain all mandatory rights to complain about goods that are not as described.
11. Changing your mind
EEA consumers who conclude a distance purchase may cancel within 14 days after receipt, subject to applicable statutory conditions and exceptions. The buyer arranges and pays return transport. In-person and bespoke purchases are excluded; trade buyers have no contractual right of return.
12. Identity, money laundering and sanctions
Transactions may require identity, source-of-funds, beneficial-owner and sanctions checks. Payment must normally come from an account in the buyer’s name. Jacksons may decline or cancel a transaction where law requires.
13. Data, law and disputes
Personal data is handled under the Jacksons privacy notice. Swedish law governs these terms, while consumers retain mandatory protection in their country of residence. Questions may be sent to info@jacksons.se.
