Model no. 226, designed in 1959. Chromed-plated brass, plastic. History: This model was based on model no. 2097, which Gino Sarfatti designed in 1958. Model no. 2097 was a large chandelier with many arms. He worked on the archetype of the chandelier, but reduced it down to a masterful combination of technical and formal ideas. Model no. 226 was designed one year later, as a smaller version of the latter.
